What is ICYC?
The Indiana Christian Youth Convention (ICYC) is an annual event that provides a weekend of encouragement for youth groups of the Independent Christian Churches and other churches that wish to participate.
Who attends ICYC?
Youth groups (both junior and senior high) from all over Indiana (and a bit of Kentucky too) come together for this two day event. They are joined by an emcee, praise band, special speaker, and Christian organizations like colleges and mission groups. Friday night includes a special performance- be it music, comedy, or magic- designed to help youth enjoy a good time while still being challenged to grow in faith.
What happens at ICYC?
There are a total of 4 main sessions in which the youth gather for announcements, stage games, worship, and a message. Over lunch on Saturday, there are workshops for both youth and leaders to dig deeper in their faith. There are also times built in for youth groups to gather on their own and discuss what they are learning (study guides based on sessions will be provided).
